“I was honored to be a part of such an inspiring event to increase organ donation. The presence of many courageous patients who have been successfully transplanted at this event added importance. As Chief of Transplant at Saint Barnabas Health Care System, I’m certain the Get Game – Give Life® event raised awareness among the fans in attendance of how important organ donation is and how it can save lives."

“Vanderbilt Medical Center has had the distinct honor of participating in Get Game – Give Life® events for the past four years. Donor registration information was given to Commodore fans as they entered Memorial Gym. This represents 10,000 individuals who might not have otherwise known about or possibly ever considered organ donation. During halftime at center court, fans were provided facts on saving lives through organ and tissue donation. Everyone was encouraged to talk with their families about organ donation. The highlight of this halftime event culminated with the signing of a donor registry card as an example and encouragement to others to consider organ donation. We look forward to participating in this exciting event again.”

“Center court with the NBA San Antonio Spurs and 17,000 fans... Get Game – Give Life® reaches a group who are not usually thinking about organ and tissue donation and presents the concept in a positive, enthusiastic way involving actual donors and recipients. This has to be extremely effective in initiating discussion and planting a seed that will benefit future donor families and recipients in need.”
